A Note From Rosalia:

Frank and I share a deep love for exploring global cuisines and discovering new restaurants. Our journey together began at Rovino's East Village location, where Frank served as the executive chef. From the start, I admired not only his culinary passion but the dedication he brings to perfecting his craft. Together, we’ve grown as a team—both personally and professionally—learning, managing, and building our dream of creating an exceptional dining experience.

Rovino in Little Italy represents a full-circle moment for us, combining our shared love for hospitality with authentic Italian cuisine. This restaurant is the realization of our lifelong dream.

Frank brings over 26 years of culinary experience, working in kitchens from coast to coast—from Philadelphia to San Diego. His passion for creating exceptional meals is unmatched, and his joy comes from seeing that "first bite" smile on our guests' faces. Whether cooking for family or guests, Frank takes pride in turning traditional recipes into elevated modern dishes, bringing the warmth of home-cooked meals to the table. His love for authentic Italian flavors shines through in every dish we serve at Rovino.

As for me, hospitality has been in my blood. With eight years of experience in San Diego’s hospitality industry and deep family roots in Little Italy, it’s been my lifelong dream to own a restaurant here. Growing up surrounded by my parents and grandparents’ entrepreneurial spirit, I was inspired to bring my Sicilian heritage to life through food and service.

Now, together with Frank, we are excited to welcome you to Rovino, where we combine our passion for authentic Italian cuisine and unmatched hospitality in the heart of Little Italy, San Diego. Our mission is to deliver an unforgettable dining experience that reflects our love for food, culture, and community.
