Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 24, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how RoVino Restaurant + Bar (“RoVino,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit rovinosd.com (the “Site”), contact us, place a pickup order, or otherwise interact with us. It also describes the privacy rights available to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA/CPRA”).

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of personal information, depending on how you interact with us:

  • Identifiers & contact details — such as your name, email address, phone number, and (for events) preferred event date and guest count, when you submit our contact or catering forms.
  • Order & commercial information — items you order for pickup, order notes, pickup time, and a record of your transaction when you order online.
  • Payment information — when you pay for a pickup order, your card details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor (Clover/Fiserv). We receive a secure payment token and transaction result; we do not store your full card number on our servers.
  • Internet & device activity — such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring pages, and general interactions with the Site, collected through analytics cookies and similar technologies.
  • Approximate location — a general, non-precise location (e.g., city/region) inferred from your IP address for analytics purposes.
  • Security information — we log IP addresses briefly to rate-limit form submissions and help prevent spam and abuse.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (as defined by the CPRA), and we do not collect personal information from children (see Section 9).

2. How we use your information

  • To respond to your inquiries and catering or event requests.
  • To process, prepare, and fulfill your pickup orders.
  • To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site.
  • To understand how visitors use the Site through aggregate analytics.
  • To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share personal information only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract, for the purposes described above. These include:

  • Google Analytics — website analytics (usage data, cookies).
  • Clover / Fiserv — payment processing for online orders.
  • Resend — delivery of contact and inquiry emails.
  • Airtable — storage of contact and catering inquiry records.
  • OpenTable — if you choose to make a reservation through the reservation link.
  • Sanity and Vercel — content management and website hosting.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a business transfer. Use of analytics cookies may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CPRA; you can opt out at any time (see Sections 4 and 6).

4. Cookies & analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to run the Site and to measure usage through Google Analytics. When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline analytics cookies, and you can change your choice at any time using the link in our footer. If you decline, analytics cookies are not set.

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or extension sends a GPC signal, we automatically treat it as a request to opt out of analytics cookies and any related “sharing.”

5. Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know / access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
  • Delete personal information we have collected, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information.
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information (note: we do not use sensitive personal information for such purposes).
  • Non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

6. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information. To opt out of any “sharing” through analytics cookies, use the control (also available in our footer), decline cookies in the banner, or enable Global Privacy Control in your browser.

7. How to submit a request

To exercise your access, deletion, or correction rights, submit the form below or call 619-269-9341. We will verify your request by confirming information we already hold about you, and we will respond within the timeframes required by law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, subject to verification.

Use this form to exercise your privacy rights (access, deletion, correction, or opt-out). We may need to verify your identity before responding.

8. Data retention & security

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law (for example, to fulfill orders, respond to inquiries, and keep transaction records). We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

9. Children’s privacy

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Third-party links

The Site may link to third-party sites and services (such as OpenTable, Instagram, and Facebook). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for them.
